Banner Project

We are still working on sponsors for banners for 2017.
Buy a banner for $150 or a book for $50 and help support the future of the project.

 "FROM OUR CREATIVITY”
2016 BANNER PROJECT

Thank you to all who entered the Banner Project.
The 40 banners are in being made and we hope to have them in the latter part of August.

This has been a learning project for all involved.

These banners will be hung on 1st Street SW and along 12 ave. The Town is currently working on a banner design and hanging system that will stand up to the winds in the downtown core. (We hope to run this contest again next year for downtown.)

Thank you to all who entered the contest. There were lots of fabulous pictures. Unfortunately many could not be used because of the quality of the photographs submitted.
The 20 local judges still had a difficult decision only choosing 40.

High River has hung banners from the streetlights in the downtown core for many years.
This year we would like High River artists to add their own unique work to decorate the town's streets. The 40 new banners will feature the work of local artists (High River and surrounding area as well as those who have a tie to the town).
Pictures should be 300 - 400 dpi.

The banners will hang vertically. The art work will be 30" X 60"  or a 1 : 2 ratio.
The finished size of the banner is 30”x 73.25”. Text saying "From Our Creativity" and the artist's name will be included.
