PUBLIC ART GALLERY
The High River Library has hosted a public art gallery since it opened in 1981. Everyone is welcome to stop in. Some of the art pieces are for sale. The work changes on a monthly basis. Many of the artists hold a reception where you can come and meet them to discuss their work.
We encourage artists from High River and the surrounding area to show their work. Local artists can be professional artists or hobby artists. The exhibitions may include a variety of traditional and new media, such as painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, drawing, video, and performance art.
We often have numerous artists showing at one time.
The library also hosts travelling shows from TREX - The Alberta Society of Artists, FAN - Fibre Art Network. For more information on showing please contact the library at email@example.com
Check out for our listing.
There are still openings in 2017. Call Joyce at the library (403-652-2917) to book your space.

Okotoks - Monday Art Group
Okotoks Artists are a group of artists from Okotoks and surrounding areas who join together to present their art to the public in shows. We are not a formal group but do enjoy each other's company when we meet to paint. We share ideas, teach and support each other in our artistic endeavours. We are always open to trying new things and new products. We try to have at least two shows a year and each participant shares in the planning, cost and work involved in each show.

A “Canon girl” at heart, Lyn loves to focus on contrasts, definition and sharp focus in her photos. Most of the work in this current exhibit was shot in Hawai’i (mainly the island of Kauai), Palm Springs and surrounding areas of Southern California, as well as Alberta.
